Uncle Sam

There was a man
Named Uncle Sam.
He bucked a king
And claimed the land.
Oversaw his family…

Brotherhood of man
Turned as Uncle Sam
Saw red for to sing,
Trails of tears across the land.
Educating the savages…

Subjugating fellow man
Trait’rous hypocrite Uncle Sam
Donned gray bling,
Whip in white hand.
In the name of Jesus…

A black and blue man,
Abolitionist Uncle Sam
Stuck on postpartum cling
To a jim crow klan.
Lynching every soul…

Unbecoming a man
Warring Uncle Sam
Slurred a power-drunk “ching,”
Closing others in cans.
Camps for to concentrate…

Anglo-Sazon Man,
Protestant Uncle Sam
Lucky’d baptism in potato-whiskey zing
And thwarted the global plan.
Gods & Demagogues…

Schizophrenically-xenophobic Man,
Un-browning Uncle Sam,
Rings-a-ding-ding
Like an Aryan fight clan.
Spirits poured on ice…

Uber macho man,
Never queer Uncle Sam
Snapped a string
Of evil gay plans.
Faggots for the fire…

Not woman, but man,
This suff’raging Uncle Sam
Learns lessons that sting—
But at least they/them can.
And the beat goes on…

What kind of woe man
Is to be this Uncle Sam
Oath-bound to bring
Liberty and Justice in hand?
Your call…
